McWilliam's
Mount Pleasant Sparkling
Pinot Noir
| Awards | Tasting
Notes |
Created
from some of the oldest Pinot vines in
the Hunter Valley, Mount Pleasant Sparkling
Pinot Noir offers wine drinkers a quality
softer, aperitif style of Sparkling
red.
This wine is a Mount
Pleasant specialty: a unique style of
wine with typical Hunter character. Made
from handpicked grapes, usually harvested
in late January, this wine completes
primary fermentation in American and
French oak. The resultant wine is then
matured in the same oak for up to 15
months. After this period, secondary
fermentation using the Charmat method
is undertaken to add effervescence. A
truly unique wine which is ideal with
cured meats, Asian foods and Christmas
roast turkey.
