Hunter Valley Shiraz is arguably one of Australia’s best food wines, and the Phil Ryan Signature Shiraz is one of the best examples. Its earthy, easy drinking style makes it the perfect match to any drinking occasion.


Following crushing, this wine is cold soaked for 24 hours. The must is inoculated with a selected yeast and the ferment drained and returned twice daily. Mid way through fermentation the cap is headed down to ensure maximum extraction of colour and flavour. The wine is pressed just before completion of fermentation so primary fermentation can be completed in barrel. Both French and American oak is used in the fermentation and maturation stages to ensure maximum complexity.
