Throughout October and November we saw some of the largest rainfalls in recorded times,  Dams were overflowing, the Hunter was green and lush, a beautiful sight and stark contrast to the years of 2017, 2018 and 2019 when the earth was scorched and dry. Fast forward to January and the fruit is sound, canopies healthy and beautiful cool weather providing us with amazing fruit. The cool nights and days helped us to retain wonderful fruit flavors, natural acidity and fruit tannin.

The potential of 2022 is right at our fingertips with maximum time on the vine leading to brilliant accumulation of flavours which could result in arguably some of the Hunter’s finest wines.
